Message to the world:

Now we are at the end of the 20th century. The world is standing on the threshold of a new millenium. I think that we, the people of the earth, must not go blindly towards idealistic goals. The world can't only be light and wonderful, there is black and white in everything. We can't make each other be idealistic.

People, don't try to "correct" or "improve" other people -- accept them and the world around you as they are. There's no reason to try to improve the world; just try to begin with youself, with your own soul, with the place where you live. And then, believe me, there will be more than a few more smiles and happy faces.

On the future of Russia:

This is a very difficult question, and not up to me to decide. The main thing is not how the government is set up (although of course I would not want to see the communists come back into power), but simply in the relations between people. A person's consciousness can't be changed in one minute, as many people would like. I just wish people would have patience with each other (although this is difficult, as I know very well myself). But we must try.

The future is coming. Whether it will be good or bad remains to be seen.
