"When the company decided to set up an office in Khabarovsk, they asked me to help them get it going. I found office space and got everything set up, and started working on sales. Then it came time for them to get a full-time regional sales manager. They asked me to find somebody, even though I had been doing the work well myself.
"The expectation was that I would help them find a man for the job. I
interviewed some people, then suggested, 'Hey, why not keep me on this job? Why
have me hire someone, just so I can teach him how to do his job and then be
supervised by him?"
