Larisa Fedotova could be a poster girl for the new generation of Russian business people. At 25, she is a regional sales manager for the Wm. JR Wrigley Co., has her own apartment, and earns as much in a month as some Russians earn in a year.
The company's Khabarovsk office overflows with boxes of promotional material,
display racks, and a vast array of the company's products: Juicy Fruit,
Orbit Sugarless, Spearmint, Doublemint, Hubba Bubba Cream Soda Flavor. Larisa has all the
accoutrements of modern Western business at her disposal, including a modem
equipped computer she uses to communicate with the Wrigley's offices in Moscow and Vladivostok.
